Er... If your browser is not providing a calendar dropdown the form will say yyyy-mm-dd as Maria says, & if you get it wrong the error message is 'Please enter start date in the format yyyy-mm-dd.'
However, I've not got nothing in my logs to say there were any invalid dates submitted yesterday or this morning. & unless you were using a different device with a different IP address to the one you used to post this message you only accessed the editevent for once but didn't submit anything, or if you did my server didn't receive it. This may sound like a stupid question, but did you click the "Save new event" button?
