Great club meeting
There was something magical about tonight's club meeting. One member was complaining to another, "How did you pick up five balls so fast? You've only been juggling since September!" I didn't realize the plaintiff hadn't flashed 5 yet. She didn't think she could, but we worked up to it in about 15 minutes, and she got at least 5 in under 2 minutes. Teaching someone 5 balls is easy if they're that ready!
I came up with a fairly inconsequential pattern tonight, but I'm kind of charmed by it. It combines redirecting a beanbag with a held beanbag (a skill I didn't expect to be using again) and a squeeze catch. Pretty trivial with 3, a good get-solid-in-a-week pattern with 4.
My 7b was feeling really great, especially after taking such a long hiatus. Emily got a personal best of a body throw combo (lazy reverse backcross lazy) that she picked up at the WJF.
We gave the three out-of-towners who come to our club once a week (and add so much enthusiasm and fun to it) medals, which were well-received. One of them (Sydney) flashed 5 club backcrosses for the first time.
And lots of passing! Great practice.
