Toddler stories, of course, another genre I've recently become familiar with. After the climax of the story it's mandatory for the protagonist to follow it up by winding down and going to bed.

I guess in the mystery genre, you get a big hopefully rug-pulling reveal at the end, often just after a standard tension/release ending (will antagonist manage to kill detectives? oh! no.). But of course the reveal is like "And this is how it was done!" which is not at the end of very many magic acts, unless you count David Blaine who seems to use "explanations" as misdirection.

I did see a beautiful act by Morgan and West(?), part of which was a long sequence with a volunteer, where all the mechanics were made plain to the whole audience, but not to the volunteer. It was hilarious and it didn't rely at all on the traditional "this is surprising! and this is even more surprising!". Would have transformed well into a clowning piece.
