Griswold also happens to be the inventor of the trampoline, so we owe him a lot more than 'just' these diving board acts ;)
I always wondered if he licensed his act in some way to other performers.. Does your source say more about the relation between Griswold and Dondy?
Anyway, by now there must be at least 10 versions of the trampoline-diving board act... People even suggested to me that I should build a rig and learn it... Maybe one day, but I'd hope I'd find a way at least as original as Matt Hughes did!
