Upsidedown slackwire artist (with added unicycling!) [video]

David Cain's latest article, on the Reverhos, is excellent as always:

The handbalancing on slackwire made me think of this act from Cirque de Demain some years ago. It's not juggling (although he does ring spinning in his finale), but it is extraordinary:

I was trying to find out more about him (Kong Tiang? Q'ong Tiang?) I couldn't even match the name of the troupe online (Tai-Yin? Taillin?). German speakers among us - anything worth knowing from the commentary?

In trying to track him down I discovered that there are now two other acts (at least) doing similar skills on slackwire: Li Wei & Zhang Fang. Both have featured in Cirque du Soleil's OVO.

Li Wei:

I still like Mr Q'ong best, partly because it was the one that blew my mind when I first saw it, but also because
- he does his balances while swinging, which adds a whole extra degree of difficulty
- I prefer the look of the deep V that the slacker wire makes. I don't know whether this makes it more difficult or easier - thoughts anybody?
- I like that he rides the unicycle both ways...
