Fred Astaire can do one. That's not an insult, he just seemed to be able to turn his hand to anything. I think sometimes people see Astaire as merely a great hoofer, but as far as I can tell he was a truly talented polymath of the performing arts. What a shame his swansong was Towering Sodding Inferno.
With respect to Astaire's age, let us not forget that Johnny Hutch was 64 when he won an acrobatic competition. Age may be a formidable sheet anchor in competitive athletics; but not so much when performing on stage.
I made a copy of that hatstand for my mate Dodger years ago (the one who compèred the last Lestival!) but I don't know whether he ever polished the routine well enough to use it.
Unfortunately I have no memory whatsoever of the "Super Dance Routine With Canes" :( Perhaps Luke Burrage may be able to offer a clue?
